About David Chong
I started with a 2.14 GPA and zero connections.
In 2011, David Chong entered Singapore's real estate industry with no network, no track record, and an academic background that raised eyebrows. What he did have was a question: why do some agents build thriving businesses while others — equally hardworking — burn out in three years?
His first year was a lesson in identity. While other new agents chased leads and copied scripts, David studied the psychology underneath the performance. He plastered flyers across HDB blocks at 6am. He knocked on doors most agents wouldn't touch. Not because he believed in hustle — but because he was building evidence that he was the kind of person who did the work others avoided.
By year one, he had closed over 30 units. Not because he had better scripts or a bigger network. Because his identity had shifted. He stopped being an agent trying to survive and became a business owner who happened to sell real estate.
That shift — quiet, internal, irreversible — became the foundation of everything David has taught since. The books, the coaching programmes, the methodology. It all comes back to that one insight: who you believe you are determines every decision you make.
That shift became the foundation of everything that followed. The books. The coaching. The methodology. He mentors privately now, works with a small number of agents each year, and continues to build.
The Philosophy
Identity First
Who you believe you are determines everything you do. Change the identity, and the actions follow naturally — without force.
Compound Over Hustle
Small consistent actions beat hard sporadic ones every time. The agent who shows up daily at 70% outperforms the one who sprints for two weeks and disappears.
Proof Over Promise
Show the work. Let the evidence do the talking. Results earned quietly are worth more than results announced loudly.
Think Like an Owner
You are not an agent. You are a business owner who sells property. That distinction changes how you spend time, money, and attention.
